You can buy SONiVOX's great sampled instruments nested into virtual instruments: they work both as stand-alone and as a plugin. Every piece of them are cheap - 20-30 USD -, but contains only a single theme: Bass - Rickenbacker, Guitar - Stratocaster, Guitar - Les Paul etc, so anyone can build an own orchestra with only the relevant samples. Puremagnetik sampled the early digital drum machines of the eighties: the sample package's name is Digital Beatboxes. It contains five fine drum machines: at first, Korg's DDD-1, plus the famous Alesis HR16, Kawai's R50, and a real bonus: a Soviet creation called Sound. here is the link, buy it (for Kontakt, Live or Logic).

Native Instruments pours the soundpacks for the Kore elements: now they gave a task for the Massive engine with Massive Expansion Vol. 2, a new package full of synth sounds. It costs 49 euro, here.

A huge, free sound program packages is out at the same time for both Roland's and Korg's flagship synth. Roland's V-Synth GT got a 450-piece patch bank from th manufacturer - Juno, Jupiter and SH sound creations mainly, with some early Roland D-additions. Click here to download.

Native Instruments' next sound pack for Kore uses the Reaktor engine: 200 sounds of evolving pads and soundscapes, called Animated Circuits. It costs 49 euro, here.

Three Kore-news came from Native Instruments, together. At first, Kore 2 has a reduced price from now: 400 euro, instead of 500. Second, you can buy Kore 2 software without the hardware, only for 200 euro - name: Kore 2 Software Edition. MoReVoX has sampled a lot of old spring reverbs and collect them into a huge, 250-piece wave file collection, RetroVerb. The files has very good quality - al of them has 24 bits resolution, stereo and 5-channel surround, taken with a very good equipment -, and can be used in any convolution reverb software. Didgeridoo is fashionable since more than 20 years - at first, it came for E-mu's Emulator III, in 1986. Now Zero-G published a full library dedicated to this instrument - an enormous set of more than 800 samples. It's called Rhythm Organism, costs 100 USD, check it for more info here.

Propellerhead celebrates Moog these days: they donated the Moog Foundation (probably with a REASONable sum), and they provide a free soundset download of some Moog-sounding instruments, produced by Craig Anderton, Mark Vail and Gordon Reid. Motion Sequential Synths from Motion Samples costs 40 USD also, and contains more than 400 analog synth groove, in minimal house/techno, between 124-130 BPM. Check them here.

Reasonbanks.com's biggest hit, Analogue Monsters reached v3, with some real innovation. The sample material is almost the same as found in the previous version (Alesis Andromeda, Korg classics, Studio Electronics, Microwave and many more), extended with one gigabyte sample taken from a nice Oberheim Matrix-1000. Almost all of the patches are recreated from scratch, and a full Combinator bank is provided now, too. All this wonder costs 81 euro, here.

Users of Kore 2 and the free Kore Player is targeted with two new sound packages from Native Instruments. Transient Attacks (50 euro) and Deep Transformations (70 euro) both contains FM sounds that uses the FM8 engine burnt into Kore. Order them here.

Ueberschall took 3.6 gigabytes of samples from the Balkan music and organized them into 1070 loops. The name of the package is Balkan Lines, and consists of elements of Turkish, Gipsy, Serbian, Rumanian and Greek folk elements. You will find it only at the shops, but it has an official page, too.

Native Instruments fills your Kore 2 or the free Kore Player with synth legends: Kontakt Retro Machines contains 135 classic synth patches taken from the Kontakt library. Not less than 11 analogue monster, 5 digital FM synth, plus 6 drum machines - all this takes 1 gigabyte from your hard disk, and costs 49 euro, here.

SONiVOX, while working for Ableton, has sampled an orchestra for Live. The package's name is Orchestral Instruments Collection, and costs 500 euro. If you don't want to invest such amount you can buy less: it is divided into four parts: strings, wood and brass, plus percussion. The whole package exceeds 24 gigabytes. Check it here.
