Impressive, isn't it? We don't know what we have found exactly but it's a rather cool experience: nude girls surrounded with synth legends like Fairlight CMI 3, Moog Micromoog, EMS and so on. We would have some questions about this project so if somebody has the answers please drop a comment.

Edgar Froese, father of the most innovative e-music group, Tangerine Dream, after an almost-30-years pause, plays Mellotron again. Last Sunday he played live in Eindhoven with his band, and onstage he used the new M4000 model which was premiered by us last year. The Mellotron sound was an essential element in the most successful years of TD in the seventies - and they did a good job to let the audience worldwide what kind of instruments it is. They heavily used all the preset tapes, and even recorded custom ones, filled with orchestral instruments and industrial noises. Now Froese played the instrument in only one classical song, Maroubra Bay.

Gary Kibler, a tricky producer from London made a full album with only a single Korg Kaossilator module. It is available from ReverbNation freely, check it here, it is called "The Yellow Album". Although it will not hit the top position of the charts it made a huge impression on the music market already. Songs are repetitive - as they came from this device only, real-time, no preparation or cut-copy-paste applied -, but anyway, the material is quite enjoyable.

Stockhausen died

Last week, at the age of 79, composer and great inventor of electronic music, Karlheinz Stockhausen has passed away. He was born in a small village in Germany, and started to learn music when he was 7. His career was extremely successful but controversial - he was the most famous composer of the so-called contemporary music which was often described as leaving the audience completely. In contrary, Stockhausen had the greatest influence on lots of experimental pop musicians of the seventies who made the ground for 90s' and 2000s' electronic pop music.
One of his last public words on the terror attack of the WTC, 2001 caused serious scandal - he found some similarities between art and terror.
We took our picture from Wikipedia - if you want to read more check Stockhausen's article there.
