Tascam has released GigaStudio 4 - the pioneering sampling package is competitive again with the leading packages like Kontakt in terms of the specification. It works with 64 bit operating systems, with a maximum of 128 gigabytes of sampling RAM, has a 24 bit and 96 kHz maximum sampling resolution, and the package contains GigaPulse, a nice convolution reverb. GVI, the plugin version of the sampler will soon upgrade to version 4, too (GigaSampler itself works in standalone only). You can buy Giga 4 for 600 USD, here.
